Leadership Team

Steve has nearly 40 years of experience working in program business and surplus lines. He previously served as Everspan's Chief Underwriting and Reinsurance Officer. During his career, Steve has managed both individual risk and delegated underwriting platforms at Crum & Forster, Endurance Specialty and GenRe. Steve has built his expertise in the program space as both an insurance and reinsurance executive where he has underwritten a broadly-based book of business which included property, casualty and professional related exposures.

Darwin has more than 20 years of experience in program insurance. Prior to joining Everspan, he was U.S. Head of Casualty & Professional Hybrid Solutions at Everest Reinsurance Company, where he managed the program portfolio and developed reinsurance relationships for the Facultative Reinsurance division. He also has held senior leadership positions at Maxum Specialty Insurance Group, Regional Excess Underwriters (a WRBC company) and Insential Insurance Co.

Justin has nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Everspan, he spent 10 years as Chief Operating Officer of Berkley Environmental, a W.R. Berkley company. He previously served as Chief Information Officer, Americas, for Torus Insurance and Chief Information Officer for Arch Re.

Steven is a Certified Professional Accountant with over 20 years of financial accounting and reporting experience. Prior to joining Everspan, Steven served as the insurance controller of Ambac Assurance Corporation for eight years where he managed insurance and reinsurance reporting, financial planning and expense analysis, and supported rating agency and corporate modeling.

Flavia joined Everspan in 2024, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in claims management and handling. She previously worked at Ascot, Berkely Environmental, Navigators, Markel, and AIG.

Larry has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before joining Everspan, he served as Chief Reserving Actuary for Americas P&C at SCOR Reinsurance. Prior to his time at SCOR, Larry held senior actuarial leadership positions at AXA XL and Travelers, where he oversaw casualty, professional, property, and reinsurance lines, as well as catastrophe analytics.

Nicole has more than a decade of experience in corporate law. Prior to joining Everspan in 2024, she was products counsel for Coaction Global. She earned a bachelor's degree in polictics from the University of Dallas and a law degree from New England Law School.

Megan has a decade of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Everspan in 2021, she was an analyst at Ambac Assurance Corporation, where she was responsible for evaluating the credit risk of insured exposures.

Sima has more than 16 years of experience in the insurance industry and deep knowledge of compliance and regulatory/corporate filings. Prior to joining Everspan in 2021, she was Assistant Vice President, Regulatory & Compliance, at QBE North America for 13 years.

Trent has nearly 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Everspan, he spent six years as the Business Development Manager at DUAL North America, overseeing business development for the Northern U.S. region.
